Hi, we are still here and going strong

So our night nursing was supposed to start the day after I posted last, but due to some paperwork having to be resubmitted, it was delayed until last Monday. Then, the nurse we were supposed to have come tore a ligament in her knee and is out for two weeks. So, we have the nursing supervisor and another nurse covering until she can get back. That means the hours have been minimal for the nurses to be here so far, but once our nurse is well again it will be  great. We are impressed with the nurses and very happy to be getting some sleep again!

My little brother graduated from college and he and his wife had their first baby in the last week as well, so that has been busy, but oh so wonderful!!!! I am a proud aunt for the 6th time now!!!

Hailey is doing so well!! We were at a standstill on weaning one of her medications for a while, but we were finally able to wean, which is a huge relief. The night nurses tell us we are super organized and I'm glad they think we are even if we don't feel that way sometimes :-)

One of the best pieces of news of all is that Hailey has figured out how to get real noises past her trach a bit, so we have been hearing her sweet voice almost every day, although we still can't hear her cry.  It sure warms my heart to hear her though!!!!

Ben and the girls ended up with colds and Katelyn with an earache on top of hers, but so far Hailey seems fine. Hopefully she won't get whatever they got.

I am headed to Salt Lake this week for Hailey's follow-up with pulmonology so hopefully that will go well. I will try to post some of the cute pics Ben got of her this week!!

So all in all it is crazy busy, but a wonderful life at home. Without our amazing family and wonderful friends we couldn't do it. We are so grateful for all of you!!
