Calmer Seas

Well we had a much calmer week after getting the NJ tube replaced last Tuesday. It has been nice to just be at home. Ben's dad came and picked his mom up on Friday morning. We were so grateful for all her help. Not sure how we could have made it through all the chaos of last week without her, not to mention all of her watching the kids while I was in California! She was wonderful! 

Then my parents and Jennifer and Brandon and their baby came to visit. It was so fun to see them all! Keith and Jessica came over too! It was like a holiday! We missed having Marcie and Jared there, but since I have a brand new nephew out of the deal (Marcie had a new baby boy last Sunday!) I can hardly complain! 

The crushed aspirin has been working great so far and Hailey doesn't need more Immunizations until next month (her RSV shot is monthly)! Woohoo! Hoping for a quiet few weeks. 

The girls have been adorable about helping take care of Hailey. They play with toys with her, run for diapers, carry the IV pole, keep her entertained in the bouncer, etc. Hailey always tolerates tummy time WAY better when Abby and Katelyn are involved! 

I caught Katelyn "reading" a book to Hailey, so I snapped a picture. They have been so awesome through all of this. They are my heart-healthy heroes.

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
