Day 59

So today they said they are tentatively setting Wednesday as the discharge date. Hailey is having a swallow study tomorrow and we are praying she can pass it.

When I came in today she was on room air again (Hooray!!!) and they are just going to see how she does with it. 

Here is a pic of me holding Hailey as I write this post. 

I also got some pics of her smiling this morning. Her NJ tube got clogged last night so they had to place a new one. 

I feel so grateful for the progress Hailey has made in the last few days! It is absolutely a miracle that I attribute to all of your faith and prayers in our behalf. 
Thank you for all you do and have done for our family. There will never be a way to fully thank everyone for all they have done, but please know that you are carrying us through and with Heavenly Father's help we are making it!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
