Change of Plans!

Well, instead of having a cath today, they decided to just look at the cath they did in May to make a decision. We will be having surgery for Hailey in September, although we don't know the exact day yet. They are going to move things around to fit us in. Although I am a little disappointed it is not sooner at least it is not in December! (which is the next available slot on the schedule).  The good news is we get to go home!! Ben is flying down tomorrow and we are driving back with Hailey.  We had to get our car back home or we would have just flown, but they feel like it is okay for her to drive as long as we take it slow. Honestly it might be safer from a germ standpoint too. 

Another piece of good news--Hailey rolled over all by herself!!!! On purpose!!!!! That is a first for her and a HUGE step in the right direction!!

She has really loved being out of the hospital.  I have taken her on walks and she just LOVES being outside.  We will keep you posted on the new surgery date. Just keep praying we can keep her well until then!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
