Day 81

Happy 4th of July everyone!! Sorry for the lack of updates. Ben and the girls flew in Thursday afternoon and we had a wonderful weekend together!!

Thursday we threw a true Birthday party, which was so fun!! All 5 of us were in her hospital room and we pretty much spent the day just staying in her room. It was a little piece of Heaven having the 5 of us together!!

Friday I ran around with the girls most of the day and then we went out to dinner as a family to celebrate my Birthday.

For the 4th of July I took the girls to a parade and carnival at the park while  Ben held Hailey. We couldn't really figure out where to go watch fireworks but we had a blast just being together.

Ben, Abby, and Katelyn flew out today. It was another tearful goodbye, but hopefully we will have a better idea of our timeline here by the end of the week.

So good news! They are going to do a catch surgery on Hailey this Friday and use that to determine a surgery date! I am so relieved to be getting a good picture of where she is really at before they send us back to Idaho. I feel like the fact that they are doing it is a direct answer to many prayers--ours and all of yours. This way Dr. Hanley can look at her cath results and decide what needs to happen.

I think they are planning to discharge Hailey tomorrow or the next day and then they will have us come back Friday for the cath. We will just stay at the Ronakd McDonald house in between.

They have kept Hailey in the hospital because they haven't been able to go any lower than one liter of oxygen and keep her O2 saturations above 70. They thought maybe she had picked up another bug but the swab they did only showed rhinovirus, which is what they would expect, so that is good.

We need lots of prayers for a good cath with good pressures in her lungs and a way for a surgery that is soon to open up. Sure love you all!! Thanks for praying with us and being there for us. We have felt the love of our Heavenly Father and of our Savior Jesus Christ often through all of you in this difficult journey.
