Hailey seems to be doing well

Hailey is doing pretty well. It sounds like she has a collapsed lung, which I guess is fairly common. They have her on diuretics to try to drain her chest. If she continues to do well on the diuretics they may close her chest tomorrow. 

The girls have had colds, so that has been a little bit hard. We are trying not to get what they have because we can't stay at the Ronald McDonald House if we get sick and we definitely can't visit Hailey if we get sick, so prayers on our behalf that way would be greatly appreciated. 

Hailey has opened her eyes and looked around a bit, I haven't seen it but Ben has. The cushion in the picture is to hold her binkie in, which she has been really excited about having.

    So sorry you guys are dealing with colds on top of everything else....colds that came from our family. :( Thanks for keeping us updated. Love you all!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
