How Hailey is

Dad's Log:  Thinking about Hailey's upcoming surgery made me think there are probably be some things about her now that I have gotten used to and hardly notice anymore and which may dissappear after her surgery.  These include:
1.  Fast breathing
2.  Retracting of her stomach up under her rib cage when she breathes in
3.  Sweating
4.  Coughing and purring sometimes when she breathes
5.  She sleeps a lot (18+ hrs per day)
6.  Stuffyness and drainage down her throat
7.  Not  being able to eat, having to feed from NG tube
8.  Turning blueish when she cries or coughs hard
9.  Diuretic meds every 8 hrs
10.  Weekly pediatrician visits
11. Feeding tube issues
12.  Carting around the IV pole and feeding pump
13.  Constantly washing syringes

We don't really know how much of this will be corrected with her surgery or not but I just thought it would be good to document a little bit of her current condition since our memories may fade.
