Day 17

Well, really not much to report on Hailey today. They had to change her from cpap to bi-pap, which is more support, because the cpap wasn't enough. 

Sometimes she is more awake and playing but for the most part she is still pretty sleepy. They are coming off the sedation as much as they can without making her have withdrawal symptoms. She still has had fevers and tremors which can be signs of withdrawal. 

I feel like there probably isn't much chance we will be home for Thanksgiving. We really had hoped to be this year! But, it seems like the progress is slow. 

They have tossed around the idea of doing a heart cath to make sure all of her MAPCAS look good and she hasn't grown any new ones. 

I got to spend a lot of time with the girls today! We took them to the Family History Center and the Church History Museum. They had a lot of fun and learned a lot. We also got to see natvities from all over the world. It was so fun! I have missed them so much and they have to go back tomorrow, so I am trying to soak it all up.

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
