Day 44

Well, it is getting close enough to Hailey's surgery date that any talk of going home has been put aside. The plan is to fly her to Stanford directly from here. She is doing fine but they feel like she is safer just to transfer. 

She is a happy girl today. They put her on  regular oxygen. 

Another positive note, we were able to find a van this weekend! We feel so blessed to be able to have 2 cars now. That really simplifies Ben traveling back and forth!

Here she is! She's making lots of sounds!

Born 2:29 pm. 7 lb 10 oz   It was a very long day. We actually thought we were going to have a C-SECTION. I was on the operating table and they gave us one more chance and she finally came. She is doing well for now. More to come.

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
