Day 62

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. The last few days have been busy. Hailey is very awake and active and requiring lots of my attention, which is awesome!!

They moved Hailey to the recovery floor (3 West). Yesterday they almost sent her back to the ICU because she was having so much junk in her nose and mouth that they thought she might need more one on one care. Up in 3 West the nurses have 3 patients each. But, she improved enough that they kept us here. 

I also got into the Ronald McDonald House yesterday, which is a huge blessing because I am WAY closer to the hospital. 

I no longer need the rental car because Ben is bringing our car for me on Thursday. I went to turn ours in yesterday  and got into a little fender bender. No one was hurt and both cars were fine, so that was a huge blessing. Love you all!! Thanks for your prayers!!

Born 2:29 pm. 7 lb 10 oz   It was a very long day. We actually thought we were going to have a C-SECTION. I was on the operating table and they gave us one more chance and she finally came. She is doing well for now. More to come.

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
