Day 15

Hailey is about the same today, just waiting for her belly to go down, which they feel will happen eventually. They are doing what they call "sprints" with the ventilator. They turn the settings to let her breathe on her own for a couple of hours at a time. She has done really well with that, so I am hoping we can get the breathing tube out soon.

Ben came down last night after work and Jennifer went home. It was so fun to get to see Jennifer and nice to get to see Ben again and have him back. He will be taking the girls back with him Sunday and Ben's mom will watch them during Ben's work week and then they will come back next Thursday night. 

We also did an interview with the channel 8 news station from Idaho Falls. They are going to do a telethon for Primary Children's at the end of the month and wanted some stories from Idaho families. It was fun.

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
