Day 22 since surgery (25 in UT)

Had a really lovely church meeting today. Someone played some beautiful hymns. Happy Mother's Day everyone! 

Ben and the girls are headed home today, but my Mom & Dad are here so that is nice.  

The cardiologist said she is making good progress. He thinks it will take her the rest of the week to get back to high flow oxygen and off the cpap mask. He also feels it would be better to move Hailey's June surgery so we can give her a better chance to get strong between things. 

So I feel sad about that, but maybe it is for the best. 

She is doing well, just making slow progress. I don't know when we will be home. I am just praying that she can be ready for surgery whenever they schedule it and be able to have a full repair. That will depend on her pulmonary pressures being low enough.

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
