Day 40

Hailey is doing pretty well today. She was being smiley again. I took a bunch of pictures to post but accidentally lost them when I closed the app so I will try to take some later. 

They were able to wean her oxygen to 4 liters today, which was great! She was on 7 yesterday. 

The plan is still to keep her here until just before heart surgery and then med-flight her to Stanford. 

Ben is coming down this weekend, but the girls have been here with me this week. Jennifer stayed this week so that they could be here and it has been so nice!!! I have loved having them here. 

It is always a balancing act to keep up with all my kids needing me, but I am so grateful to have them around!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
