Day 25

So not much to report. Hailey is still extubated but still on about as high of settings as you can go on a bi-pap, so any worse off and she would be re-intubated. She looks fine but is just really needing the bi-pap support. She has had fevers and a really stuffy nose still so I am wondering if she has something else. They may do a nasal swab tonight to see. 

We were so grateful to spend some time together as a family today. Ben spent almost all day at the hospital, but this evening we spent some time together. That was really nice for the girls especially but good for all of us. 

We can't say enough how much we appreciate your prayers!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
