Day 11

Hailey is doing all right this morning. These first few days are always a bit tenuous as they try to keep her stabilized.

They keep having to change her ventilation settings (breathing tube settings) to keep her where she needs to be. They said it seems like it may be a slow recovery, but I think she is still moving slowly forward.

She has some big blisters on her neck that they feel may have been a reaction to one of the pre-surgery anti-germ solutions they put on. The wound team will come look at those later today.

These first few days are always kind of hard because there are so many variables to consider and try to balance. I admit it is a little nerve-wracking as a parent.

Still, we trust that Heavenly Father knows and loves us and is very aware of Hailet's needs.

Anyway, we appreciate your love and concern and especially your prayers! Thanks to all of you for your kindness to us!
