Day 6

Hailey is getting out of the hospital today and surgery is still on Wednesday as far as we know. 

Ben and the girls arrived around 3am this morning. Ben pulled off to sleep somewhere in Nevada so that is why they got here at 3. It is so good to be together!

Katelyn is still coughing so we had her checked out at our pediatrician's office before Ben left. They feel like whatever she has might just be irritation in her lungs since she doesn't have a runny nose or any other symptoms. They cleared her to stay at the Ronald McDonald House. 

We are still taking precautions in case since she will be around Hailey. 

We so appreciate all the prayers and fasting in our behalf. We keep praying like crazy that Hailey can have a smooth and successful surgery.

Born 2:29 pm. 7 lb 10 oz   It was a very long day. We actually thought we were going to have a C-SECTION. I was on the operating table and they gave us one more chance and she finally came. She is doing well for now. More to come.

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
