Day 14

Well Hailey didn't get the breathing tube out today but it sounds like she may get it out tomorrow. 

She ended up with a fever today so they took blood and line cultures. She has a PICC line but that was put in yesterday so you wouldn't think it would be causing problems. The more lines they can get out the better because each line and tube increases the risk for infection. 

Mom and Dad went home yesterday. We had so much fun having them here and it was such a huge help! We were sad to see them go. We were so grateful they could be here as much as they were. 

The girls are doing well. They are certainly happy to be able to be here. It is good to be together. We keep praying that Hailey can have a speedy recovery so we can all be home together soon!

Home Sweet Home!!!

We made it! I feel so happy to be home! I have loved the nice weather in California so I wondered if I would feel happy when I saw the snow, but at the first glimpse of the snowy mountains flying into Utah I wanted to cry for joy!   It was, of course, an adventure getting home, but I decided to pack my sense of humor from the get-go and it turned out great thanks, again, to many angels!  I checked out of the hospital with Hailey on Thursday around 4:30pm. It was so strange to get to take her with me. I made a little sign for her car seat to travel with so we could try to stay healthy on the trip :-) By the time I had packed and cleaned and figured out how to give Hailey her new medicines (she has 10 now that we give 8 times a day between various dosing schedules) I had about 40 minutes to sleep before my 3:20am shuttle pickup.  I started wheeling my bags and Hailey and the oxygen downstairs. Day 24 Headed Home

Yay!!! We get to leave for home today!! We are all going to drive together.  The last few weeks have been so full of miracles and we are so happy to be together!! I can't believe we get to go home together!!! I wanted to post some pictures of Hailey leaving the hospital. It was so cute. Hailey was holding the string of a balloon the girls gave her and she wasn't letting go for anything!!
